No cover-up

Frazier called the “accident” description of the 1986 incident inaccurate and recalled how members of the police department were frustrated over the release of Amy. A few of them suspected someone in power must have tried to conceal the truth about Seth Bishop’s death. John Polio, the chief of police at that time, denied the cover-up allegation.

Resurfaced

On February 16, 2010, the previously reported missing report regarding the 1986 shooting incident was located by officials and was immediately turned into Norfolk County prosecutors. Based on the report, there was probable cause to arrest and charge Amy for the death of her brother. But because the report had “mysteriously gone missing,” Amy roamed free for more than two decades.
