Then Amy turned to Debra and pointed the gun at her. Debra pleaded with her, “Amy, think about my grandson, think about my daughter.” But when Amy pulled the trigger, there was only a “click.” When Amy stopped to reload the gun, Debra jumped up and led the rush of other survivors to push her out of the room and block the door. The survivors claimed that it was Debra Moriarity who got them out of harm’s way.

Arrested!

Amy was arrested outside of the building where the shooting took place. The handgun she used was recovered in a bathroom on the building’s second floor. Apparently, Amy did not have a permit to carry the weapon. According to authorities, when asked about the incident, Amy said, “It didn’t happen. There’s no way.” And when asked about her dead colleagues, her reply was, “There’s no way. They’re still alive.”
