New Laws

The Nazis drafted the Nuremberg Laws, which marginalized the Jews even further. These anti-Semitic and racial laws defined the Jews not by practice but by blood. The code written also prohibited those of Jewish descent from having sexual relations with people of German descent. Those who had not practiced Judaism were in danger as well.

Hiding the Reality

A few weeks before the participants of the Olympic games arrived, the Nazis toned down their anti-Jewish attacks and even removed the “Jews Unwelcome” signs from public establishments. Hitler wanted to hide the full truth from the rest of the world and had wanted to avoid criticism. He thought masking reality would have been enough.
