Forced to Go
While many of the athletes wanted to risk their career and skip the event, the people who comprised the Olympic games committee wanted them to push through with the trip. They insisted that the Olympics would bring people closer and would encourage the world to live in unity despite of what was happening with the Third Reich.
Picture Perfect
The players obliged. They went ahead with the Olympic games and posed for pictures as they shook hands with other players. It all seemed picture-perfect. Unfortunately, those who were there were exposed to the truth, one that saddened them even more.
