The incriminating photographs
Some of the photographs recovered from the apartment were a teen-aged girl with very short hair. In all photographs, she was handcuffed and shackled. Lee realized that the girl must have been held by Rhoades judging by the shaved pubic hair in different stages of re-growth and old bruises in her torso. The photos also revealed the girl had varying facial expressions. In some, she stared blankly, while in others she looked terrified and tearful.
