The girl in the truck
What Officer Miller saw as he peered through the cab’s window completely startled him: a nude woman shackled and chained from the roof and wall of the sleeper cab. When the woman saw the officer, she screamed at the top of her lungs, and a man – the truck driver – hurried through the curtains of the sleeper cab into the truck’s front seats. Miller immediately ordered the driver to get off the truck. As the man calmly complied, he assured the officer that everything was fine. He also told Miller that he was armed. Miller scrambled to call for backup.
