His Side

While in jail, Clay had done some telling of his own. He wrote a 182-page manuscript that told his side of the story. He said that he had simply killed Jacque because he didn’t want to be separated from his wife and children. And in handwritten notes, he wanted this manuscript to reach local schools and libraries in the hopes of getting pen pals in the process.

Offending People

Clay Waller’s manuscript had offended people further. The judge who sentenced him was dissatisfied with the outcome of the case. The victim’s family felt the same as they believe Clay had somewhat ransomed the details of the case in exchange of a lighter prison sentence. As of today, the attorney general pushed for further federal charges that would ensure he stays in prison for good.
