Cops found the most damning piece of evidence of all – a video that showed Clay hosing out and using a 409 cleaner on his boat. What made this stand out was the fact that the event happened the day after Jacque disappeared. Why did he need to be so thorough about its cleanliness? Police could only assume that he was trying to wipe away blood or any sign that his ex-wife’s body was there at all.

Clay had been tried by September. The jury was made to watch the video and the prosecutors pointed out the time he took to clean the center of the boat. But that wasn’t all that they found. Cops went to collect evidence in his home as well. They found another big clue that locked the case and made people believe that he was truly guilty.
