LIKE CATTLES

As soon as they arrived at their destination, Eva’s family was herded like cattle to the gas chambers. Their father and two sisters were dragged out of the vehicle while 10-year old Eva and Miriam clung to their mother for dear life. The same fate was to fall upon them until the guard realized that they were twins. When the guard asked Jaffa to confirm if her daughters were twins, she asked if it was a good thing. He nodded. She immediately said yes, thinking this would save them, but the guard simply forcibly separated the girls from their mom. This was the last time they would see each other.

The girls were taken from Jaffa and escorted to the man that they now call the Angel of Death. They were placed under his care. Was this a good thing?
