Lake Folsom was completed in 1955, and it wasn’t until 2013 when the drought revealed foundations of old buildings. The old town was home to some 2,500 residents. It had a school, hotels, and some saloons.
The revelation of Old Kernville
The Old Kernville was a mining town and has been submerged beneath Lake Isabella, until recently, when a severe drought hit this part of California. Old trees, and other everyday items including horseshoes were among those uncovered in the site.
