Haunting before and after images of sunken towns
A 1976 photo of Taf Fechan reservoir in South Wales showing a partially exposed old town when a severe drought hit that year.
A town was submerged here in Taf Fechan in 1927 to give way to a reservoir to provide clean water to residents in a nearby town called Merthyr Tydfil. Buried here are farms, a chapel, a graveyard, and some cottages.
