Etta May Urquhart won a whopping $51 million on May 2011. Normally, one would expect that she claim the winnings herself, but against her better judgment, she sent someone else. But to be fair, she didn’t expect her own family to cheat her from what she rightly deserved. When she sent her son, Ronnie Lee Orender, to sign the ticket on her behalf, she waited for him to bring home the bacon, so to speak. Instead, he kept the money, spent it on 4 houses, 10 cars, and a boat. She sued him and they came to a settlement on 2013. However, it’s not known if the two have made amends. But then again, Ronnie isn’t the biggest dingbat on this list.
