Threatening To Kill Them

When Shiue got inside the house, he would find Mary’s husband’s parents. He made them lay down on the ground while he tied their hands, and had told them that if they called the police on him, he would come back to kill them. Sadly, they were too shaken by the events and they never reported what had happened to the authorities. But when he never came back, they also believed that they were safe. How very wrong they were.

The Search Was On

For the next 5 years, Shiue would continue to search for the woman whose face and body filled his demented mind. Given his original failure to have kidnapped her once, it would seem that his mania with Mary Stauffer would just get worse. Luckily at that time, Mary, her husband and her children had been safely living in the Philippines as missionaries. But in 1979, they would move back to their home in Minnesota, and Shiue’s sick dreams would finally be fulfilled.
