World Trade Center Survivors’ Network

As people were trying to make sense of the 9/11 terror attacks and continue to live in the world while attempting to feel safe and secure, which was difficult to do, Tania became one of the founding members of a group called World Trade Center Survivors’ Network, also known as the WTCSN. The group was created to help anyone and everyone affected by the attacks, whether they had been there, lost a family member, loved one, co-worker, as well as just trying to find a way to deal with the whole tragedy.

Sharing Her Grief With Others Like Her

She shared her story with such emotion about what she had seen that day, “I looked around, it was like a horror move, people were mounted on each other, the smell of burnt skin and people’s insides was gagging.” She continued, “I kept thinking about my fiancé, about our wedding, I wanted to wear that white dress and swear my love for him. Something gave me the strength to get up. I believe today that it was my fiancé on his way to heaven.”
