14. Severe Headaches
Although contested by many doctors as being a symptom connected to cholestasis, most patients who suffer from gallbladder problems also complain of severe headaches. Eastern or traditional medicine practitioners have long believed that the gallbladder “meridian,” a channel where energy flows through, runs along the side of the head. Because of this belief, Eastern medicine suggests that gallbladder problems cause a shift in the flow of energy through the body, causing stress, affecting the other organs found along the same “meridian,” which in this case, is the head.
