7. Back Pain
Certain conditions physically obstruct the gallbladder, causing its contents to build up inside it. When this happens, the gallbladder becomes distended and inflamed, causing great discomfort and pain. People who suffer from a gallbladder attack, usually from gallstones, complain of a sharp, intensifying pain in their backs, right between the shoulder blades, usually towards the right shoulder. This is called referred pain, which is common in diseases of the abdominal organs.
