19. Belching
The indigestion resulting from impaired biliary function due to disease causes intestinal motility to slowdown. Because of this, gases begin to accumulate within the gut, causing discomfort and oftentimes, pain. To ease the pressure from building up against the walls of the digestive tract, the body needs to release gas, causing a person to belch. Frequent belching and abdominal discomfort might suggest a gallstone problem so keep your eyes peeled for other signs often associated with it.
