20. Bloating

When gases build up in the gut due to indigestion caused by impaired gallbladder function, the intestines become distended. This can cause extreme discomfort, especially if a patient is unable to pass the gas to relieve the pressure from building up. This condition is also known as bloating, and is quite common in conditions affecting the digestive tract.
