9. Sexual Dysfunction
The prolonged slowing down and stoppage of the flow of bile due to a gallbladder problem can cause hormone imbalance, a condition that can ultimately lead to sexual dysfunction, most commonly erectile dysfunction.
When bile backs-up into the liver because of a blockage or disease in the gallbladder or any of its associated structures, liver functions become affected, and one of these functions is sex hormone metabolism. Because of this, an individual’s sexual processes become affected, decreasing sex drive and menstrual function.
