6. Bitter Taste in the Mouth
The bitter taste left in the mouth after vomiting is due to bile, which makes its way out together with the stomach contents being thrown-up. Conditions affecting the gallbladder and its associated structure can affect the normal release of bile into the gut. Over secretion of bile into the intestines due to a malfunctioning gallbladder sphincter, can cause some of it to reflux into the stomach and esophagus, which can leave a bitter a bad taste at the back of your mouth.
