12. Blood in Urine
Blood in urine is also a symptom of uncontrolled high blood pressure but is not exclusive to the condition. Other factors such as kidney stones or bladder infections also present with bloody urine but because the kidneys play a vital role in filtering the blood, any problem that might affect them should also be taken seriously.
The kidneys play an important role in filtering waste from our body which the blood collects from the different tissues it passes through. These toxins are passed out from the body in the form of urine, which makes it a good indicator of how our kidneys are functioning. Blood in our urine is a sign that something is wrong with our kidneys, and when our kidneys fail to function normally, the flow of blood through them is somehow impeded, causing pressure to increase, a condition known as Renal Hypertension.
