During one of Evan Kilkus’ drone flights over Monticello Dam, a mysterious void appeared seemingly overinght in the waters of the Lake Berryessa.
According to stories from locals who live in Lake Berryessa’s vicinity, an ominous presence lurks beneath the surface and is responsible for the number of drownings of swimmers over the years. This dark force, as legend has it, comes from the remnants of a cemetery that was inundated when the reservoir was created.
Was this the explanation for the hole’s sudden appearance or could it be possible that something else was causing this?

A Lucid Dream

Evan had unwittingly stumbled upon something he has never before seen in his lifetime. As if from a lucid dream, the discovery left the drone operator puzzled since this was the very first time he has encountered such a sight. The thought of stumbling upon a discovery of such proportions right in his own backyard was in itself as unbelievable as the phenomenon he was witnessing and the adventurer in him was aching to find out more.
