Chesapeake Bay Bridge, Maryland

Connecting the east and west portions of Maryland, the 4.3-mile long Chesapeake Bay Bridge is probably the one overpass that has the most commuters. And given that traveling over it in a car probably feels utterly safe, try standing on the edge and looking down into the water, you probably won’t feel the same kind of security as you do in a vehicle. This is probably also why it’s also been dubbed ‘Scariest Bridge in America.’
