Michelle Didn’t Make It

It would come to pass that finally, at around 11 a.m. when Kody was called by 3 women, 2 doctors and 1 counselor, to a room office towards the back of the hospital. They told him, “Michelle didn’t make it. The wounds were too much. She didn’t make it.” Kody made the decision to call her family so that the doctors could tell them as well, and while on speaker, the doctors repeated the unbearably sad news about Michelle’s fate.

What Now?

When Kody exited the room with the doctors, there was an unbelievable amount of people who were trying to comfort him. He allowed them to hug him, ask if he was okay, pray with him, but he realized that he needed to deal with this in a different way. He shares, “That’s when it hit me. I didn’t really want to talk to anyone.” He decided to walk the 4-and-a-half miles back to his hotel.
