Thousands of people had gathered at the Las Vegas strip just last October 1, 2017 to enjoy the Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival. While people were listening to the ending act of the night, Jason Aldean, seemingly out of nowhere, people began to hear hundreds of bullets coming from Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. What police claim was the work of a ‘lone wolf,’ a 64-year-old white male named Stephen Paddock, became one of the deadliest mass shootings to ever happen in America.

Deadliest Mass Shooting To Date
While on the last day of a 3-day festival, as well as on the very last act, Stephen Paddock was able to bring up an immense number of weapons to the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino Hotel, and killed 59 people, as well as injured 527 others. So far, this has been considered the worst mass shooting in present-day US history to date. Although it’s still not exactly known as to why Paddock decided to open fire on thousands of innocent people, what is known is that many died trying to defend their lives, or those of their loved ones.
