Tehran UFO Incident
In Tehran, Iran, September 19, 1976, Iranian air force picked up an unidentified flying object on radar. Two F-4 Phantom II fighter jets were deployed, but the pilots reported that their onboard communication instruments were scrambled while approaching the UFO. They were restored when they withdrew. Iranian officials claimed that their pilots encountered an extraterrestrial vessel.
