Shiny bowl-like flying objects, 1609
In what is now the present-day Gangwon Province of South Korea, the Kingdom of Joseon saw a blindingly bright object shaped like a bowl flying through the sky and making a thunderous sound. It flew across the sky with the speed of an arrow which shook the heaven and the earth. According to the ancient account, the object seemed to land, but it tilted and rose and disappeared into the sky. It was held mid-air by some sort of energy.
