Strange stationary comet-like object, 1595
When Michael the Brave was attacking Târgoviște, Wallachia, which, at the time, was occupied by the Ottoman Army, there were sightings of strange “comet” that stayed stationary right above the city. It shined with great intensity. It stayed there for nearly two hours before completely disappearing into the sky. The “comet” was not found in any catalog of identified comets.
