One of the California cities that have low average annual incomes because of high unemployment rates, 8% of the 307,000 Stockton residents find it very difficult to make ends meet with the relatively high cost of goods and services in their City. One factor contributing to the high number of jobless people is the lack of higher education. Only 17 out of every 100 adults in Stockton have at least a bachelor’s degree from college.
