Dyatlov Pass
After everything, officials decided to name the region where the hikers were found dead after the leader of the expedition, Igor Dyatlov. It was named in honor of Igor and the 8 other trekkers who had gone on an expedition that just sadly led to their deaths. Whether the reason behind their gruesome deaths will ever get solved or not will never be known. But what is sure is that the 9 hikers will be remembered forever.
