Having To Stop
By then, the sun was coming down and they had no choice but to stop and set up camp. Putting up their tents in the freezing cold and unforgiving snow, they thought they could stay for the night and head out again the next morning. They supposedly were settled in and ready to rest by 9 p.m. after having dinner. They knew they just had to get through the night and get back on the right track the next day. But apparently, this was never going to happen.
