Though the motive was not yet clear, police have arrested Andy McCauley, the boyfriend of Riley’s mom, Chantel. In a statement released by the authorities, it was mentioned that Andy has been a “person of interest since day one,” and has been placed on surveillance. He has been charged with murder following the evidence of a deceased body odor in the bed of the truck he uses which has been tracked by cadaver dogs. Drywall mud and sheet-metal screws found in the truck also matches those found with Riley’s body. In addition to the evidence found in his truck, there were a lot of inconsistencies in Andy’s statements to the police when he was questioned at the Martinsburg detachment of the West Virginia State Police.
