It was just another day, or so Chantel thought. But when her own mother told her that Riley hasn’t returned from school at the usual time, Chantel started messaging Riley. Upon seeing that her message didn’t go through, she tried calling. It immediately went to voicemail. This time, she asked Riley’s grandmother to check if Riley was still in school, as she probably has a dance rehearsal and forgot to mention it. But there was no sign of Riley. At around 5:00 PM, Chantel left work and drove to Riley’s school to look for her, and chanced upon her daughter’s boyfriend, who just arrived from his field trip. Haydn haven’t spoken to Riley all day. Chantel searched the school, but failing to find Riley, she went home in hopes of finding her there.
