Police later released details concerning activities made on Riley’s cellphone, including text messages sent to her boyfriend Haydn. At 11:01 PM, Riley texted that Andy was in her room, then 12 minutes later texted, “I’m scared, babe.” The last activity made was an outgoing video call to Haydn at 5:40 AM, which was missed. An investigation done on McCauley’s phone also revealed that Andy made a call to Riley’s phone three times, at 3:00 AM, 3:34 AM, and again at 3:52 AM, each time blocking his number by first pressing *67. The authorities made no mention of recovering Riley’s cellphone.
