There were a lot of inconsistencies in the statements given by Andy to the authorities concerning his whereabouts on the day Riley disappeared, including how long he left work that day “to get drugs.” This was refuted by video surveillance which showed he was gone for much longer and a coworker revealing that Andy had drugs with him already. Video footage from cameras also show Andy taking a different route going back to his work site on Ridge Road South from what he told the police. The actual route he took placed him near the vicinity where Riley’s body was recovered. With all the evidence arrayed against him, Andy McCauley has been detained without bond.
