Casting problems
Casting a lizard 164 feet tall had proved to be quite a challenge in 1954 so instead of looking for a real Kaiju, Japanese producers casted Haruo Nakajima to play the part of Gojiro, suiting him up in a costume and telling him to “go ape” on the miniature buildings that they created for him to destroy. Nice.
