Nope, this is MONTREAL!
Amazingly, almost the entire movie was shot in the now defunct Icestorm Studios in Montreal, Canada using blue screen technology which was later superimposed with CGI. The producers felt that the only way to be faithful to the source material, which was essentially a comic book, would be to use the digital backlot technique of making movie magic. In between scenes, Gerard Butler, who played the heroic King Leonidas, would hang out and take notes from the production crew to tweak his portrayal and boy did it work.
