She Moved In

Shortly after Michele’s death, Willis moved into the MacNeill home with him and his younger children. Since Alexis had known who Gypsy was, because her mom had told her, Martin banned her and the older kids from visiting. Time would pass and unbelievably, Alexis was more and more convinced that her dad had killed their mom, but they couldn’t get the courts to reopen the case for further investigation. That is until things became more complicated. Martin and his mistress would get caught for fraud, stealing the identity of one of Martin’s adopted kids. And while Martin was sentenced to jail for four years, Willis would get three years on probation. Alexis would continue to constantly badger the police about her mom’s death until they finally agreed to investigate the case once more.

Finally On Trial For His Wife’s Murder

When Martin made it out of jail in 2012, he was slapped with new charges, ‘first-degree murder and obstruction of justice in the death of his wife.’ Alexis would share, “I knew that my father had killed my mom, but no one was listening to us… so we had to fight.” She continued, “It was not only that loss and my life being turned upside down but this struggle and battle to try to prove and to try to get justice for my mother who was murdered. I felt it was my duty that I had to protect other people from my father. I knew that if he was not in jail that he would be out and hurting other people.”
