It’s been over 10 years since Librescu lost his life to a crazed murderer on that ominous day in April 2007. But while he’s been buried underground for over a decade, his memory has managed to stay alive and moreover, seems to have even flourished further. At the time of his death, the president of the United States at the time was George W. Bush, and he had honored him by saying, “On the Day of Remembrance, this Holocaust survivor gave his own life so that others might live. And this morning we honor his memory, and we take strength from his example.” And these words still speak true until this very day.
