Seung-Hui Cho

23-year old Seung-Hui, who also happened to be a senior at Virginia Tech as well, entered the West Ambler Johnston Hall, killing two people and wounding others, then later headed to Norris Hall, opening fire on the people he encountered there. As soon as the students and teachers in that area heard the gunshots, they began scrambling to save their lives.

Professor Liviu Librescu

One of the classes that happened to be going on then was the class of Professor Liviu Librescu. He was teaching a Solid Mechanics class in classroom 204 when they first heard the shots from one of the guns. Professor Librescu, knowing that the rooms could not be locked from the inside, stood by the door holding it closed in the hopes that the shooter wouldn’t make it inside.
