Becoming A Leading Aerospace Engineer

Librescu would end up becoming ‘one of his country’s leading aerospace engineers,’ and because of his brilliance, he would be commissioned by the Romanian communist regime to do a number of projects for them. But when he was requested to pledge his allegiance to Nicolae Ceausescu, the Romanian communist dictator, he refused. And soon enough, he would lose his job and end up getting shunned for his beliefs.

Moving To Israel

Librescu had wanted to move to Israel for quite some time to start over, especially since he wasn’t welcome anymore in his own country. He had attempted to leave but kept getting denied. Finally, after the Prime Minister of Israel, Menachem Begin, found out about Librescu, he was able to get Librescu and his family out of Romania and into Israel.
