A Different Kind Of Therapy
Although Jarrett’s family was told that he would probably remain a vegetable his whole life, he still went through therapy in the care center he was in. A few of the patients that lived in the same facility were subjected to ‘soft and gentle’ music every day, but Jarrett’s parents insisted to play country music for Jarrett since that was his favorite, more often than not they would play Jarrett’s favorite song, “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.”
Four Months Later
Whether it was the music of Charlie Daniels, or if it was just pure luck, but four months after the accident, Jarrett woke up unexpectedly. Not only did he make an incredible recovery, but he was even able to attend the Riverbend Music Festival and meet the man behind the song that seemingly pulled him back to life from ‘down under.’
