Her Eyes Were Open

For those two decades, Sarah would remain almost the same. Her eyes would open, at times tracking people that passed or she would even stare at the TV, but she hardly responded to anything else. That was at least until 20 years later when she suddenly began to talk, surprising everyone who witnessed it.

An Amazing Miracle

Sarah’s father was ecstatic. He called this August 2005 wake up a ‘miracle,’ saying, “It was amazing. I’m in the living room. Betsy was in the computer area, and the phone rings… and suddenly, I’m aware that there’s a profound, distinct difference. Rather than speaking about Sarah, it became very clear she [Sarah’s nurse] was speaking to Sarah. It was the most amazing feeling in the world.”
