Reunited Once Again

Just like many other people that survive tragedy or a harrowing experience together, there is no way that people will understand the kind of bond that Renee and Brendan now share. They were able to see each other again on October 6, where Renee had shared a photo of the two of them together, once again calling Brendan her American hero.

Wishing He Did More

Although Brendan is grateful that he was able to get Renee through this horrible tragedy, he shares that he wishes he had done more for the other victims. He said, “I would definitely say the military training kicked in, and I wouldn’t say that I feel like a hero, but I just know that what I did was what I was trained to do.” He continues, “I’ve always been protective, and that just kicked in within my nature.” He truly is a wonderful example of a young man with a heart to help others.
