Renee’s Hero

Renee recounts how Brendan not only shielded her with his 6’3” body, but he brought her to safety, and he stayed with her the entire evening. She expressed her thanks afterward to Brendan on Facebook, sharing her entire experience and saying, “The whole night he didn’t leave my side.” In fact, Brendan even said about the event, “At that point, it’s figuring out an escape plan, knowing that it’s either going to be you and her together on the ground, or you and her together leaving as fast you as you can.”

Feeling Responsible For Her

Brendan shared how he felt ‘responsible’ for Renee. He iterated, “There was never an option for me to leave her. I felt 100 percent responsible for her, seeing that she wasn’t around with any of her friends.” He continues, “I had gotten separated from two of my good buddies so she became my responsibility, and I knew I had to get her out of there by whatever means necessary.”
