Further investigation into the incident discovered that the DNA found on the drugs recovered from Kelli’s car were the Easters’. And phone records showed that Jill and Kent’s phones pinged a cell phone tower near the Peters’ home the night before the drugs were found in Kelli’s car. Evidence against the Easters was mounting.

According to Orange County Senior Deputy District Attorney Chris Duff, the case was extraordinary. He said, “I’ve never seen a case where people intentionally went after someone to such a degree in such a vicious attack on someone’s character. They had everything.
