Ten years later, in 2009, Wint was pulled over in South Carolina for a simple routine traffic violation. When police ran his name through their system, they would find that the name he was using didn’t actually belong to him. He was really Bennie Wint, and he had pretended to be dead for a decade. He ended up admitting to his crimes and finding out that he was never wanted at all.

Friedrich Gulda

Friedrich Gulda was a world-renowned musician who was also known to be quite bizarre and highly unconventional in the classical world. In 1999, he was believed to have died after a fax was released from the Zurich airport claiming he was dead. Apparently, the entire thing was a hoax and supposedly Gulda did the entire thing on purpose.
