While authorities searched for Ricky and Shannon, Diane also came into focus. Many knew that Shannon spent a lot of time with her mom, and the fact that her mom lived in the same town as they did, police would ask if they could search Diane’s house. She would allow them to, but unfortunately, there was no sign of the mom or son anywhere.

Accusing Him Of Abuse

To make matters worse, Diane began accusing Michael of sexually abusing his son, claiming that this was the reason why Shannon stopped allowing him to see Ricky. Not only did she put up placards in her front yard claiming Michael refused to take a lie detector test, but she even gave out flyers to people in their community who knew Michael and their family.
