Michael maintained his innocence, saying he never, nor would he ever, abuse his son. And despite all of Diana’s attempts to ruin Michael, Diana’s continuous assault on his character just made him believe that she knew more about Shannon and Ricky’s disappearance than she was letting on.

Michael truly thought that his son was being kept in Diana’s house. And every time that he passed by the property, he claimed that ‘the windows of Dobb’s home were blocked off by drawn shades or other items, presumably to prevent anyone from peeking inside.’
