When Courtney had his first conviction, the court assigned him a therapist. Dr. Stephen Kahn said, “He had a deviance for violence with women. He liked to have violent sex I think he’ll be in prison for life.” And after all his other crimes, authorities have noticed a pattern in his crimes, not only with his victims but how he abducts them and where. Thankfully, his therapist’s theory of him never leaving jail was correct.

Now that Courtney is behind bars, Brooke’s family can finally be at peace from the horror that he instilled in her and the entire nation. Brooke’s mom, Camille, had even said, “It might be hard for you to understand, but at this time we just really feel gratitude, even to Mr. Courtney that he could see fit to tell us where he left Brooke. And for our family, what happens to him, we’re thankful that justice was served and that he will not have the opportunity for parole.”
